Tsiory is a geographer specializing in environmental studies and spatial planning, currently pursuing a PhD in Social and Environmental Sciences within the SCALE project. Her research focuses on the trade-offs between agricultural expansion and forest conservation, using the frameworks of Land Sharing and Land Sparing. She has previously worked on questions linking conservation, local livelihoods, and natural resource use in protected forest landscapes. This experience strongly shaped her current research interests and inspired her to further explore the socio-ecological dynamics of land use.
