Research / Engagement

Use advanced modeling and state-of-the-art remote sensing and spatial analysis techniques to measure multiple risks linked to climate change (e.g. the incidence of cyclones, floods and droughts)

Contribute to the quantification of the relationships underlying migration as adaptive responses to climate and environmental change,

Study the anticipated dynamics of migration patterns and land use changes,

Expertise

Advanced skills in land use cover and land use change mapping and analysis using GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, R, and GRASS.

Applied Statistics: Skilled in the application of descriptive statistics, univariate analysis, and multivariate analysis to interpret and draw insights from environmental and forestry data.

Monitoring and evaluation of integrated landscape management and agroforestry projects.

Proficient in conducting comprehensive floristic and ecological surveys.

Degree

MSc degree in Environmental Forestry:  2011-2013 (ESSA-Forêts, University of Antananarivo, Madagascar)

PhD degree in progress on the assessment of biomass and productivity of Malagasy xerophytic thickets, with the aim of informing and contributing to their sustainable management.
